Sweater Weather

South Mississippi: Nike shorts and t-shirt on Christmas' Eve........a sweater, scarf, boots, ear muffs, and thick boots on Christmas. You gotta love waking up to the oddest weather on the face of the Earth. So in honor of the cold front that's taking over, I'm going to go on and on about how friggin' cold it is and how sweaters are my best friends at the moment.

Each winter I accumulate at least 30 and each Spring I end of giving them all away, which leads to the next winter when I'm stuck with none and have to buy forty all over again. Right now (of course) I'm into thick, wool sweaters, but that'll probably change within the next fifteen minutes. So, I'm gonna go ahead and post this before I change my mind. And of course I've added a few of my favorites that you can buy online (for cheap, duh).

So, here it goes ---

First things first, Cara Loren is absolutely adorable in her thin sweater matching her chunky heel ankle boots.

Okay, so I LOVE how she has the striped shirt under the sweater. Which goes to show you CAN in fact wear brown and black together. Throw that old shat out the window.

Ah, a sweater with a short skirt. Comfortable and cute at the same time. And with tights. I honestly don't think you can go wrong. (You really can, but it's not WHAT you wear, it's HOW you wear it. Rock that glitter girl.)

Grey on grey is super chic, too. Christa Jayne from fashionorfamine.com styled this sweater so simply, but you wouldn't think it just by looking at it. (Fyi, the word simple goes a long way when you're the mom of a three year old diva. Trust me.)

Colored jeans: I personally can't seem to find any that I think I can pull off, but she can. I love the burnt orange color. It's very festive to me. And since its Christmas time, festive is the thing to be.

Last but not least, I love the sweater with the lighter jean. A lot of people forget that light jeans do actually exist, and when paired with the right thing, you won't look like an 80's pop star. (Acid wash, light jeans, you know.)

And it's time for me to inform you on where to get some of the chicest, most affordable sweaters.

And with cold weather brings good hair. And that's all that matters really.

|boots w/ socks|

My newest accessory I want to try are boots with socks. Not to be confused with boot socks, which are a tad bit thicker and more like a sweater. These type of socks are way thinner and are worn like any other sock would be, just under your cutest taller boots. I stick to more neutral colors, but you can pretty much wear them in any color and with any shorter skirt, dress or tunic. I found a couple outfits that I like, and a few choices in boot socks I have ordered. {Which are of course under $10, you're welcome.} It'll make any dress a tad bit edgier but still very feminine.

This is very edgy and great for everyday wear because they're played down with just a cardigan and tunic, which is easily imitated.

This is very girly AND edgy. The soft pink with the neutral white and taupe and grey scarf are put together so well. I'm obsessed with the leather and lace.

Can you see the pattern yet? I cannot live without my Piko tops, and this is another great way to wear them. Again, I love the lace on top of the socks.

Like the ensemble above, this is another great Piko top/boot pairing, and the boot socks bring it together so well. I love the lace up boots!!

{{Bootie Wish List}}

The best shoe for almost any weather (besides summer, obviously) is a BOOT, and what's better than boots? Boots that are cut in half. I'm kidding, I don't really understand why I love boots so much, I just do. And like always, I feel like everyone else has to listen to what I like. But there's an upside to this one, y'all will enjoy them too! With dresses. With tunics. With Jeans. Shorts. Basically anything and everything. (I haven't added a lot of black because I honestly haven't found a black bootie/ankle boot that I've fallen in love with yet. If y'all have any ideas, help a girl out.)

These here are my favorite booties and ankle boots I've found recently----

a. Diba West Haven Bootie
b. Elagant Footwear Olivaly Peep Toe Bootie
c. Joe's Jeans Mirage Boot
d. Matisse Paladin Star Studded Bootie
e. Sam Edelman Cody Bootie [taupe]
f. Lucky Women's Boxer Ankle Boot
g. Steve Madden Joplynn Bootie
h. Sam Edelman Cody Bootie (black)
i. Steve Madden Patzee Bootie

{{And the majority of these are under $100. There are few a little over that, but not too much because I'm basically the cheapest person you will ever meet.}}

My Faux Sure Confession: Fur

So, I'm laying in bed. Playing on Pinterest of course. And, I remember that I recently bought the cutest white fur coat (faux, obviously) that I think I love almost as much as I love Aubrey. It fits perfectly. And goes with everything. So what if I look like I dressed for Alaskan weather in South Mississippi, I'll break a sweat any day so that I can break out that jacket. Anyways. Like I always do whenever I buy any item or accessory, I stalk Pinterest for a good 8 hours to look at any or ALL outfits I can pair with my newest purchase. I dont know if everyone does this, but I don't care. It truly makes me happy. So, as I look at the 12 millionth fur coat outfit, I decided to start start saving my top fur ensembles. And like always, I chose to share them with you. (Not that you care, but you should.) so, here it goes ---

(This is feathers, but I'm obsessed and I refuse to take it down.)

I hope these made you as jealous of these fabulous ladies as they made me. You're welcome.

Back at it

Okay, so I know that I've been missing for at least 12 years now, but I made up my mind - and I'm going to stick with this for a while. (Only because finals are over and I have a whole month to be bored and go shopping.) I'm still equally addicted to Pinterest as before, but now its a different season, and I've probably changed up my wardrobe 60 times since then. So after all this time, let me show you what I've literally been obsessing over this Fall/Winter.

#1 I'm absolutely in love with lower back outfits or anything showing your back. It's cool without trying, and its sexier without being slutty. Have you ever heard someone say, "OMG that hoe's back is showing". Negative. Get it gurl.

#2 Faux fur makes me almost as happy as American Horror Story binges on Netflix. End of story.

#3 I don't really wear heels a lot, so leather leggings can sometimes be a challenge. But that doesn't change the fact that I wear mine at any given time if its with a simple t-shirt or dressed up with a Piko top.

#4 Fringe = Love of my life 4 eva

#5 Oversized sweaters/dresses/tunics make my life so much more simpler than anything else. You can pair them with leggings and boots, skinny jeans and flats, or with nothing but boots. Or anything between. Seriously. Its that simple.

#6 And last but not least, FLARE JEANS ARE BEAUTIFUL AND AMAZING and I turn into Stevie Nicks/Janis Joplin at any given time. Literally, I don't even know who I'm impersonating most of the time. Don't judge me.

XOXO Andrea
