This is not a "beauty is on the inside" post

Lately, I've gotten really big into actually doing my hair and putting on make-up in the morning. I know, I know, its a really big one for me. I've always pinned hair styles and make-up tips on Pinterest, but I have never really took the time out to fix myself up really. I mean, who cares what I look like if I'm just sitting at the house or going to the grocery store, right? Wrong. I look like death without makeup. I understand the whole "Beauty is on the inside" bullshit. I really do. BUT my Meme (Grandmother) has recently informed me if I want to be taken seriously, then I have to take atleast 5 minutes out of my day to put on some concealer and mascara. Which I am okay with. If I get my whole 15 hours of rest in. Anyways, I figured if it works for me, it may work for all of you. So I gathered just a few (okay, like 10 maybe) hair and beauty looks that I adore. Also including a "sock bun" how-to that I love! This is probably the easiest hair style to do, and I hope you will love it, too!

My hair is ombre now, and I love it. No touch-ups for atleast 3 months, its definitely stylish, I adore it. Anyone can pull it off. It can either look natural, like the sun has just highlighted the top of your hair, or it can be like the bottom picture, which is more done.

AND MY FAVORITE -- THE SOCK BUN

I love braids and up-dos, but I also love long hair. Especially with a little sea salt spray. I use KMS Salt Spray from Ulta, and it works great in towel dried hair and then let air dried.

I'm also into headbands and other hair accessories. Here are two looks I love. Including the first one, which is a Bo & Luca 'Hera' headpiece.

And last but not least, one beauty look that I'm obsessed with. I love the "I have on makeup, but it looks like I'm not wearing makeup" concept. A little mascara, some concealer, nude lipstick, a little bronzer and fixing my once thin eyebrows - LOVE IT !

More of the things I can't afford

Recently I've started wearing jewelry. I've never really been a big jewelry wearer. I've always been a watch, stud earrings kinda girl. But since statement necklaces have started to become really big (literally) I've began pairing them with either plain tunic tops or a regular tshirt. They really can make an outfit. I'm also into midi rings and tassels lately, which again brings me back to my obsession with retro, hippie things. Of course, I've been on Pinterest today so I found some new jewelry looks I love that I'm going to share with everyone today. You're welcome.

Like I said before, I've never been big on jewelry. I like dainty things, small little jewels that you have to really pay attention to to love. I also like small one of a kind pieces. GOLD is my favorite though. So if I ever come across small gold jewelry that no one else I know has, I definitely get it.

And turquoise. Have I mentioned turquoise? I'm obsessed. It's so old school and makes me feel like Pocahontas.

Okay, I'll stop blabbering now. XOXO Andrea

Pinterest findings...

Okay, I know it's been a couple of days, and I have been lazy buttttt I did do a little Pinterest and Instagram stalking this morning and I came across a couple outfits that I absolutely fell in love with. And since Blake and Aubrey are gone to a doctors visit, I'll have plenty of time to blog in quietness.

Fist things first, I'm obsessed with these camo skinny jeans with the zipper detail paired with these plum heels. I live in South Mississippi, so it's a little hard to wear something camo without looking like you're going hunting. But the color of these heels I'm in love with. I don't know if it's because I've been obsessing with this same lipstick color this fall/winter, but I adore it. It makes me feel so sophisticated.

Another color I've been into this winter is "winter white". I love it, it's very bohemian and these two looks are adorable. I've also just purchased my first black big floppy hat that I could seriously wear anywhere. I like how I can pretty much wear it year round. Another thing I like are the boots in the first picture. I really like the shorter boots with a flowy dress look. I've tried it recently, but until I get some sun on these legs, I won't be doing it again for a while.

And then I came across this picture of Cara Loren from caraloren.com on my Pinterest, and think I'm in love with everything about this outfit. (Especially the hat) The maxi skirt is a must. I seriously wear one every other day. And I adore the chambray shirt with it. It feels summer-y, but still won't allow you to freeze to death, which is a plus since this Mississippi weather has been absolutely crazy lately.

Honestly, the main reason I just love her is because she can make the most simplist of outfits look so cute and put together. I don't wear a lot of color, but when I do it's because I'm mocking an outfit she's put together.

Last, but not least -- KIMONOS. OMG OMG OMG I'm obsessed with these things. I've recently bought one and I swear Blake has to make me not wear it everyday. I wear it twentyfour seven. Either with a maxi dress, skinny jeans or shorts, it makes me feel like Stevie Nicks and I love it. It's sorta like wearing a long cardigan, but without feeling like a jacket. I die. Sorry not sorry.
